What we look for in a candidate

A small team doesn’t have room for big egos. If the only right solution to a problem is your solution, then you’re probably not a good fit. We hire people who are smart, driven, hard working, and collaborate well with others. We hire people who can shift from project to project but also stay focused. Most importantly, we hire people who really want to work with us.

Compensation & expectations

This is a 3-month internship and it pays $250 a week. We can be flexible with your schedule, but expect 20 hours a week. Our office is in Evanston, just a mile from the Northwestern Campus. All applications must have a cover letter and resume to be considered.

An Insider's view of CraftJack

How would you describe the company’s work-life balance?

Our ethos on work-life balance and productivity today is all about performance and delivering results; less about the hours and more about the quality of the work itself. We prefer working smarter than working longer, often resulting in individuals curating their own day with enough overlap for collaboration while affording personal flexibility.

Noah Mishkin

Founder & VP of Operations

What's the biggest problem your team is solving?

After receiving feedback and questions about certain projects, efforts, initiatives, and how we prioritize product releases, it was clear we could use more information. This launched a new internal video series called, "What Is That?!", 13-minute interviews explaining how efforts align with core values, corporate goals, and customer-centric care.

Noah Mishkin

Founder & VP of Operations

How does the company support your career growth?

Individuals have opportunities to grow here at CraftJack with access to tuition reimbursement, certificate programs, and internal mentorship. We host quarterly business reviews which include a workshop focused on personal and professional growth. We've seen careers grow from part-time internships to full-time new management positions.

Founder & VP of Operations

What is your vision for the company?

I see CraftJack continuing to do what we are best known for: questioning every precedent, principle, and asset within our industry, staying true to our customer's best interest while exploring new technology driven innovation to improve on the successful developments we've already created.

Noah Mishkin

Founder & VP of Operations

What are some things you learned at the company?

A key fundamental factor in my leadership style is empathy. It's less about making decisions based on what I've read or heard works, rather, determining what I myself would and would not appreciate as an employee. Additionally, learning how to be present in a moment and listen well is often far more effective than providing advice.
