UI LABS is seeking an experienced IT Systems Specialist to support over 50 team members working in our 94,000 square foot headquarters facility located in Chicago, IL.  This facility has a wide range of conference rooms, unique capabilities, and specialized systems. This position will support the existing IT team in troubleshooting and providing Tier 1 and 2 support to the multiple end-users that work and visit UI LABS. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptive, and flexible.

+Key Duties and Responsibilities  

• Manage and respond to a variety of end-user Information Technology (IT) needs involving:
  • Hardware: PC/laptops/surfaces/printers
  • Software: Windows, Office, other applications used by UI LABS
  • Network: Connectivity, wifi, etc
  • Prepare for new arrivals and departures
    • Image new devices, setup user accounts, email, PC, phone, etc
• Backup data from device and systems of departing users: Emails, onedrive, local files, etc.
  • Follow and implement best practices on configuration changes including creating, maintaining and improving documentations and processes on system configurations, procedures, and update/upgrade planning and executions.
  • Update and maintain asset tracking and CMDB
  • Help create and maintain external visitor/vendor policies on proper usage of available resources.
  • Develop documentation and training guides for personnel on end user device(s) operations
  • Secondary support on Audio/Visual requirements for large events: partner events, webinars, presentations, etc.

  +Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services including assessing internal/external customer needs, meeting quality standards for services and evaluating customer satisfaction
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner both verbally and written.
  • Demonstrates initiative, self-discipline, a positive attitude, and strong work ethic with attention to detail 
  • Ability to manage multiple high priority initiatives in a fast paced highly technical environment  
  • Highly motivated, articulate and able to work independently with high speed of execution with attention to detail; makes timely decisions

  +Education/Certifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in an IT support role
  • The following professional credentials and training are preferred:
    • Microsoft Certification(s)
    • Network Certification / training
  • Experience with the following Back Office Applications are a plus:
    • Bigfix experience
    • HP Server
    • VMware vSphere
    • Office 365
