closerlook is seeking a lead-level QA Analyst/Engineer. The primary job responsibilities for this role include testing and quality procedures for closerlook’s digital offerings.  This role focuses on backend testing and automation.

 Responsibilities:

• Manage test procedures and process:
  • Primarily for complex marketing reports, ETL jobs and data warehousing using MS SQL Server 2016, SSIS and Marketing Automation software.
  • Secondarily for proprietary web applications utilizing MS .NET, IIS and SQL Server 2016.
• Oversee software test plans, test strategies and test estimations. Able to jump in and help to execute tests as appropriate. Be available for consultation on all impacted projects
• Work with Developers, other QA professionals, Business Analysts and Project Managers to ensure project success.
• Review requirements documentation for testability and decompose requirements into test plans.
• Provide accurate estimates for test efforts
• Drive and analyze Software Quality metrics to measure and improve Quality Assurance

 Requirements:

• Ten or more years’ experience as a quality assurance professional
• MS SQL Server experience, including strong T-SQL skills
• Experience testing ETL jobs.
• Experience analyzing and testing stored procedures
• Experience leading a team
• Critical analysis thinking to breakdown requirements into test cases
• Manage test estimations and test execution schedules across a project lifecycle
• Experience in test planning and manual test execution
• Knowledge of quality assurance and configuration management methodology.
• Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle from inception to deployment.
• Excellent communication skills and extreme detail orientation.
• Demonstrated ability to work on parallel project initiatives
• Four-year degree and strong English language skills are required
• Ability to interact with developers and understand technical design.
• Ability to provide detailed analysis of test progress and results.
• Embraces the need for continual improvement and participates in retrospectives to understand how the QA function can best serve the organization

Pluses:

• Experience automating tests via Selenium in Selenium, TestNG, NUnit and Maven
• Experience with Cucumber / SpecFlow
• One or more years directly supervising other QA resources
• Proficiency in Python or C#
• Experience with MS TFS and Visual Studio
• Experience with Google Analytics
• Experience testing HTML emails and related CRM campaigns
• Experience with Marketo
• Experience with Microsoft Test Manager
