The Manager of Commissions & Analytics will lead a team of analysts to process commission payments to clients and develop data models, tracking sheets, analyses and reports to improve business results and operational effectiveness. The Manager of Commissions & Analytics will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the business issues, reporting requirements, and priorities for initiatives and lines of business.
Responsibilities
- Build and implement working data models to support the accurate and timely payment of commissions on insurance product sales
- Serve as the commission processing expert to guide the technical support staff in the development of an enhanced commission accounting tool
- Generate operational performance analysis to find conclusions using quantitative and critical thinking methodologies
- Monitor KPI's, bring awareness to and provide in-depth root cause analysis to change trends
- Produce and maintain an inventory of standard reports and commission audits
- Lead projects to create new reports, data models, and information tools based on business needs
- Provide forecast versus actual analysis and insights in to changes, drivers, and trends
- Develop performance metrics, audit controls, and dashboards to report commission runs, on current book of business, and retention policies
- Partner with technology leadership to improve the understanding of metrics and drivers
- Manage a team of analysts by providing coaching, mentoring, and feedback in order for all reporting and analysis to be delivered at brand standard
- Develop the analytical abilities of the team, in order to prepare and deliver reports, analysis, and insights in a perspicuous manner
- Fully understand the costs of commission processing and needs of clients, resulting in maximization of efficiency of the commission processing schedule
- Assist the Corporate Controller and Chief Financial Officer with ad hoc projects and audits
- Develop a full understanding of the manner and rules in which carriers remit commissions to GoHealth, and in which GoHealth remits commissions to clients
- Build commission payment schedules which adhere to client commitments and company margin goals and update respective schedules as necessary
- Ultimately establish commission processing and reporting capabilities that differentiate the service GoHealth offers its agents
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, or similar field
- Minimum of three years of relevant Data Analytics experience
- Demonstrated intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including expert level MS Excel skills
- SQL experience is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, used to present findings and translate data in to an understandable document or presentation
- Ability to take initiative, identify what needs to be done and take action, and use data to drive recommendations and make proposals on possible solutions
- High attention to detail and data integrity, consistently pursuing quality in accomplishing tasks and ensuring that work product is 100% accurate
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, where prioritizing is necessary
