The Manager of Revenue Optimization supports the Travel business at Groupon by driving decision making through analytical insights. Key focus areas will span areas of deal relevance, customer targeting, supply-demand matching, pricing, deal quality, and merchandising. Responsibilities across these focus areas include developing product plans to optimize revenue, guiding development for key levers and tests, measuring statistically-sound tests and experiments, identifying and driving execution against improvement opportunities, lever optimization, and using data to guide key product decisions. The Manager of Revenue Optimization will lead a team that drives cross-functional decision-making and initiative prioritization while also providing objective, data-driven insights to guide short-term and long-term decisions for the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead team focused on leveraging analytics for business optimization

  • Proactively uncover meaningful revenue optimization opportunities

  • Develop product feature and experimentation recommendations via data analysis

  • Quantify the value of proposed product features and enhancements

  • Monitor effectiveness of newly launched product features inclusive of all tests and experiments across the businesses

  • Design and support experiments that span web, mobile, email, and marketing

  • Work with product management, engineering, and business teams to develop adequate proactive monitoring for key optimization areas

  • Provide insights that aid near term and long term decision-making for the businesses

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Business or similar; graduate degree recommended

  • 5+ years of web/mobile analytics experience working closely with product and engineering

  • Knowledge of eCommerce customer flows and experience with A/B and/or multivariate testing processes and methodologies

  • Experience writing SQL queries to extract and process data for analysis

  • Ability to leverage creativity to solve problems and use quantitative/qualitative skills to deliver simple, logical recommendations

  • Experience with data visualization and presentation - preferably proficient in Tableau or similar tools

  • Proven history of leading teams and driving cross-functional teams to deliver business-improving features and business results

  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal

  • Excited by working with data, measuring performance, and making objective decisions based on quantitative and/or deductive reasoning
