The Marketing Associate is a newly created position reporting directly into the VP of Marketing. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring activities with our PR firm and internal teams, ensuring PR/media activities are integrated into our broader marketing strategy. This role will also own our social media strategy and be responsible for event planning and execution. We are looking for a hard-working, business minded go-getter, who is able to thrive in a fast paced and ever-changing work environment. The successful candidate will possess strong time management and organizational skills, a data-driven mindset to aid in metrics/reporting, and exceptional writing ability.

  • Act as lead PR point of contact, working closely with our agency and internal teams to ensure consistency in message, responsiveness, timeliness
  • Strategize, manage and coordinate public communications efforts with our customers and partners
  • Integrate our awareness, PR, and media strategies into our overall marketing strategy and plans
  • Participate in creation of awareness metrics and report results internally to organization, ensuring PR agency is successfully achieving goals
  • Lead social media strategy by planning, managing and executing social programs for corporate initiatives and demand generation campaigns, including content development, calendar management, publishing, engagement, monitoring and analytics across social media platforms
  • Project manage and execute all activities associated with live and online events, including webinars, trade shows, customer events, speaking activities
  • Assist with development of messaging and presentations for media interviews, speaking events and customer, prospect and partner meetings
  • Work closely with our HR and Talent team to build brand awareness in priority geographies, including community relations and recruiting efforts

  • A sense of pride in what you do as well as attention to detail
  • Not afraid to ask questions and implement helpful suggestions
  • A strong work ethic and a “roll up your sleeves” attitude to help wherever you’re needed
  • Strong accountability for generating measurable results
  • Minimum 2 years working in marketing for a B2B technology company or a B2B PR agency or communications firm
  • BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or relevant field of study

Location

We became a distributed workforce in March 2020 as a result of Covid-19 and will remain distributed moving forward. Our Chicago HQ still remains but we want our team to have flexibility around when and where they work.
