What you’ll do:

As a Marketing Intern, you’ll help our Marketing team articulate Uptake’s story through work in product positioning, messaging and competitive differentiation. You’ll analyze industry messaging trends and contribute to materials that will enable our sales team, product team and vertical teams. You will also assist in the development and execution of innovative marketing programs that drive demand.

You will support multiple projects simultaneously, need to be self-motivated and enjoy strategic thinking and content creation. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits, is crucial. This is a highly collaborative role and critical to Uptake's success. You’ll have the opportunity to gain senior executive exposure across a variety of industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to product positioning and messaging that differentiates Uptake in the market. Deliverables include, but are not limited to: reports on industry marketing and messaging techniques, Uptake sales collateral content, digital content.
  • Support the execution of product commercialization and go-to-market.
  • Gather intelligence on the market and how buyers perceive competition.

Qualifications:

  • Open to undergraduate students in their junior or senior year at a top-tier university.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, including ability to clearly and concisely synthesize ideas.
  • Strong critical thinking capability.
  • Superb interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build relationships successfully across teams.
  • Excellent project management skills, including a proven ability to think through all aspects of the process, manage long-term projects and multitask.
  • Creative thinker 
  • Any major will be considered, but ideal candidates will have either: an educational background in Marketing, English or History with work samples that demonstrate ability to explain complex technical concepts, or an educational background in Computer Science, Data Analytics or Economics with examples of exceptional writing abilities.

Location

We are located in River North just right off the Chicago Brown Line stop. We also provide you with a free shuttle service to/from Ogilvie and Union.
