What we are looking for:

Vail is seeking a self-motivated B2B Marketing expert to develop and maintain marketing strategies for a new to market Communications PaaS (CPaaS) product.

What you'll be doing:

 

  • Develop and execute a robust marketing plan and process designed to find qualified leads, and includes the various customer touch points and approach for each
  • Collaborate with product management and business development to define strategy, drive go-to-market programs that deliver results, and ensure marketing plans support product roadmap and releases
  • Create and manage the product messaging and story telling content, market positioning, and targeting strategy with a focus on lead generation and lead nurturing
  • Develop and execute a lead generation strategy using whichever channels necessary: PR, events (conferences, webinars, product presentations), print, digital (email, SEO, social, blogs, banner ads), etc. as well as crafting any marketing collateral to contribute to the recommended tactics
  • Prioritize marketing channels and develop recommended approach for successfully pursuing each channel.
  • Execute marketing strategy by creating compelling and differentiated marketing content such as whitepapers, blog posts, case studies, and presentations.
  • Continuously perform competitive market analysis and research to maintain differentiation in product messaging and positioning in a rapidly evolving market
  • Develop measurement plans and monitoring performance (including ROI evaluation) for marketing tactics and present insights and optimization recommendations to the Product Director
  • Develop campaign performance reporting and share KPI results with product managers
  • Fully responsible for execution of your own projects
  • Determine marketing support requirements such as marketing automation tools, CRM tools, sales staff, and other related needs

What we need to see from you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business; Master’s degree in business or marketing a plus
  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience
  • Experience with marketing for software products, including SaaS or PaaS products
  • Successful track record creating product marketing plans and participating in sales enablement.
  • Possess both business and technical skills and be able to speak comfortably to any audience.
  • PR and/or corporate communications experience a plus.
  • Experience using or implementing Marketing and/or CRM software tools (i.e., Pardot, Eloqua, Marketo, Salesforce, Pipedrive, etc.)
  • Proven experience with lead generation and lead nurturing marketing
  • Ability to understand and translate technical speak into marketing collateral
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Comfortable working alone or in small team environment – not afraid to get their hands dirty
  • Confident self-starter that is comfortable challenging the status quo
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work across teams with a wide range of skill sets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bonus points for:

  • Telecom knowledge or work experience
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence
