The exceptionally talented team member who fills this role must have a proven track record of successful business judgment,  ability to influence multiple stakeholders and an unwavering attention to detail . The Marketing Manager, Merchandise Assortment Strategy will be responsible for helping deliver deals that drive value for LivingSocial customer.  The role will require a dynamic individual who can action extensive and complex data and analysis in order to refine, advocate and achieve our optimal merchandising assortment strategy.  The  Marketing Manager of Assortment Strategy must be a superior influencer, who can consistently ensure sales teams deliver LivingSocial’s optimal merchandising mix, as well as properly plan and deliver on key merchandised events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a crisp, clear and successful merchandising assortment strategy in line with LivingSocial brand standards and goals

  • Unwavering advocate for LivingSocial inventory initiatives with key sales leaders and their teams

  • Partner with Revenue Management and Marketing teams to refine and action sales and site traffic data

  • Create messaging and pitch decks/slides to facilitate Sales team to sell LivingSocial specific campaigns and initiatives

  • Work with cross-functional teams including Sales, Finance and Operations to ensure delivery of deals to support daily inventory levels and targeted merchandised events

  • Conduct regular audits of our deal inventory, working with sales and other teams to resolve issues at a deal, market or category level

  • Partner with Revenue Management and Product teams to identify & resolve systematic deal quality issues

Professional Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of relevant business experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or online operations preferred

  • Knowledge of Excel and Tableau

  • Familiarity with sales details (deal structure) and overall sales strategy

  • Proven problem solving skills; systematic, analytical thinker

  • Highly flexible, ability to handle changing directions/priorities and roles as business needs evolve

  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple projects and objectives

  • Previous role in merchandising, buying or sales management
