As a Marketing Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for facilitating the planning, scheduling, execution, and closing of marketing and cross-departmental projects. You understand dependencies and risks, and you ask the right questions to draw them out. You support and drive projects to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of departmental initiatives, delivering consistent process improvement, leading project teams to successful outcomes, and proactively looking for opportunities to move the department forward. You will also understand, participate in, and lead strategic planning and budgeting initiatives. You work under moderate direction of your manager and senior team members.



Responsibilities

• Work with business stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, tasks, milestones, budgets, and measures of success and customer satisfaction for medium to large size projects of varying degrees of complexity
• Plan, estimate, and control project costs, including resource planning, to ensure project is delivered on time and within budget
• Identify and manage project resource needs and goals—strategies, staffing, scheduling, issue resolution, contingency plans, communication plans, and change control
• Track and report on project risks, progress, issues, and milestones; provide status reports to management, project teams, and other project stakeholders
• Support the maintenance of project management guidelines, training programs, policies, and procedures
• Support all phases of strategic initiatives, including planning, development, and implementation
• Connect higher level strategic plans and business goals to tactical plans that support departmental and organizational strategies and objectives
• Develop and align programs, projects, and processes to support the marketing team’s strategies, goals, and objectives
• Identify departmental strengths and weaknesses and evaluate operational effectiveness
• Understand, monitor, and help develop the marketing department’s budget and budgeting processes 
• Manage vendors to ensure outsourced tasks meet contract expectations, kCura standards, and are delivered on time
• Act as liaison between key projects stakeholders to strengthen understanding of business-aligned goals
• With the rest of the operations team, administer and help improve our internal tools such as JIRA and Salesforce

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
• BA/BS in marketing, business, or related discipline. 3 years of work experience, 2 years managing projects in a full-time role, and 1 year managing a budget 

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in cross-functional teams towards common goals
• Experience managing a budget is highly preferred
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and verbal and written communications for technical and non-technical audiences
• Knowledge of project management techniques and tools (e.g. Waterfall, SDLC, Agile)
• Proficient in using MS Office, MS Project, Visio
• PMP or PMI Certification is a plus
• B2B professional services or software environment
• Experience in e-Discovery and legal field is a plus
