The Director of Search is responsible for providing strategy and direction for one of Leapfrog Online’s largest accounts. They work hand-in-hand with the Account team to set strategy, strengthen the client relationship and achieve client and internal goals. This requires digital marketing expertise and a demonstrated ability to manage performance based media for our clients. We are looking for a unique combination of thinker, do-er and leader – someone who is seeing the 30,000 foot view, but who is also willing to roll up their sleeves alongside the team and ensure our execution is perfect. 

Responsibilities:  

Strategy

  • Provide creative and progressive strategic thinking combined with solid analytical skills to deliver against client goals and objectives.
  • Provide expert Search strategy and expert tactical execution in order to train team members on campaign management and optimization.
  • Must think strategically about Paid Search's role within the media mix and help cross-functional teams define tactical game plans to address client problems.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, drive innovation and ensure quality of service.
  • Bridge the gap between client context and thought leadership with the tactical implementation by the team.

Leadership

  • Lead strategic digital thinking within a collaborative environment, working closely with Account, our clients and additional cross-functional internal teams.
  • Seek ways to increase productivity and efficiency on assigned accounts.
  • Manage a team of Digital Media and Search professionals through mentorship, training and career development.
  • Guide team members in the development and presentation of recommendations to clients.
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with all third-party partners.

Client Interaction

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with mid-level and senior clients to become a trusted expert on the digital marketplace.
  • Educate the Client on the importance of Search in the overall media mix.
  • Provide POVs on Digital Media trends and marketplace innovations.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Accomplished Digital Media strategist with agency experience.
  • Expertise in SEM/PPC management, both hands-on and strategic.
  • Exceptional analytical skills.
  • Excellent communications skills – written (including editing), verbal, presentation and interpersonal.
  • Problem-solver and team player who exhibits the ability to anticipate and solve problems, large or small.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
  • Deadline-oriented, prioritizes appropriately, flexible, maintains grace under pressure and can deal with high-profile individuals.
