Leapfrog Online is looking for a Director, Search & Digital Media to join a team of energetic, passionate Digital Marketers and help transform the way in which we buy and integrate Digital Media for our clients. In this role, you will lead a variety of stakeholders to successfully plan & deliver on digital strategies in order to increase performance, demonstrate ROI and deliver business results for our clients. We are looking for a true Paid Search expert to play at the strategic level with a hands-on understanding of the executional requirements.
The Director is responsible for providing SEM and Social strategy and direction for some of Leapfrog’s largest accounts. They work hand-in-hand with the Account team to strengthen the client relationship and achieve client and internal goals. This requires an approach to the digital landscape from a broad perspective and a demonstrated ability to evaluate media effectiveness based on performance and business objectives. We are looking for a unique combination of thinker, do-er and leader – someone who is seeing the 30,000 foot view, but who is also willing to roll up their sleeves alongside an integrated team members to help during a big project.
Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Lead digital media strategy for assigned clients
- Manage team of SEM and Social professionals through mentorship, training and career development
- Seek ways to increase productivity and efficiency on assigned accounts
- Guide team members in the development and presentation of recommendations to clients
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with all third-party partners
- Own ultimate accountability for assigned digital media budgets, flawless execution of buys and recommended optimizations to improve campaign KPIs
- Lead strategic digital thinking within a collaborative environment, working closely with account, client and additional cross-functional internal teams
- Serve as Paid Search and Paid Social subject matter expert in internal and client-facing conversations, including senior level client engagements with existing clients and prospects
Strategy
- Drive the development, preparation and implementation of media strategies and corresponding measurement, optimization and reporting
- Provide creative and progressive strategic thinking combined with solid analytical skills to deliver against client goals and objectives
- Must think strategically about SEM's role within the media mix and help cross-functional teams define tactical game plans to address client problems
- Identify opportunities for growth, drive innovation and ensure quality of service
- Present client-facing plan recommendations and performance reports
- Understand client accounts from a holistic view of all marketing channels involved and how digital media can influence and effect client goals
- Drive performance of assigned clients
Innovation
- Create and own roadmap for ongoing innovation to ensure we are delivering on best in class testing opportunities throughout search and digital media
- Work with strategic partners to identify new and innovative strategies while measuring and communicating the business impact of the results
- Keep a finger on the “pulse” of the digital marketplace
- Lead team in developing client facing POVs on the latest trends and technologies in Search
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 7+ years in a hands-on role managing Digital Media campaigns
- Expertise in Paid Search and Paid Social required
- Experience across Programmatic, Display and SEO a plus
- Solid understanding of media technologies and emerging trends
- Excellent communication and presentation skills including written and verbal
- Strong analytical skills. Must be able to gather, analyze, summarize, and present data
- Excellent knowledge of the digital media landscape for both branding and direct response campaigns
- Experience with the MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, dynamic environment
- Ability to work independently as well as work in a team in a collaborative, problem-solving environment.
