ShareASale, an innovative and forward thinking internet marketing company located in the exciting River North neighborhood in downtown Chicago, is seeking an energetic Merchant Development Specialist to join our Client Services Department.
ShareASale is an affiliate marketing platform that connects retailers (Merchants) and bloggers (Affiliates), facilitating a mutually beneficial partnership between both parties so they can grow their online businesses.
The Merchant Development Specialist works with existing retailers to provide supporting resources that will ensure account growth and success. This person will also be empowered to help design and implement new ways to better serve our clients.
The Ideal Candidate:
• Customer-centric, consistently friendly and positive with a high level of patience
• A strong desire to learn and grow with the challenges of a company/industry that is always evolving and moving at a fast pace
• Self-starter. A team player who can work independently and within a group
Responsibilities:
• Proactively review merchant accounts to identify opportunities for strategic growth
• Respond to support ticket inquiries/calls related to merchant development
• Provide education and resources to Merchants on using the ShareASale platform and optimizing their accounts
• Maintaining/Enhancing current customer relationships
Requirements/Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Communicative with excellent verbal/written communication skills
• Minimum 2 years of experience in online marketing
• Experience in Affiliate Marketing a major plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency with the internet and social media
• Owning/managing a personal or company blog a plus
• Project management experience a plus
