Here at Techweek we’re celebrating innovation in emerging tech hubs across the world. From our first event in Chicago back in 2011, we have grown to cover eight cities, and we made our international debut in Havana Cuba in 2015!

Techweek is a technology festival that brings together a mixture of entrepreneurs, visionaries, and thought leaders. We create and curate engaging media, dynamic events, and disruptive content on web, digital, and interactive technology, bringing together diverse communities of entrepreneurs, corporate professionals, and thought leaders.

The ultimate goal of Techweek is to spotlight and enable innovation tech ecosystems.

We are currently searching for a rockstar to join our Media team as Multimedia Intern.

The Multimedia Intern is primarily responsible for organizing, distributing, and editing digital assets (photos, audio, and video). To be more exact, our ideal candidate will handle the following:

• Coordinate with multimedia production vendors for post-festival handoff of all raw digital assets

• Perform audio editing to prepare raw audio for SoundCloud

• Perform video editing to prepare raw video footage for YouTube

• Organize our libraries of digital assets on Dropbox and Flickr

• Manage relations with our SEO team

• Willingness to travel up to 15% of work days

• Additional tasks as required

Do I qualify?

We only hire top talent. While we are looking for certain skill sets, we’re interested in individuals with drive and passion. If you don’t fit the requirements below, please include a cover letter explaining why you’d be the best fit for the role. We review each and every applicant that comes our way!

• Proven experience in multimedia editing (school work, portfolio, personal, and professional work)

• Must have familiarity with content management platforms (Flickr, SoundCloud, YouTube)

• Must be comfortable working in a fluid, fast-paced environment

• Must possess understanding of file types and media encoding

• Must have expertise in iMovie, Adobe Premier Pro, or equivalent

• Must have expertise in Adobe Photoshop

• Must have expertise in Adobe Audition or equivalent DAW

• Graphic design skills a plus, but not required
