About The Position
The Network Administrator at Raise provides a broad range of technical support and participates in the planning, deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting and installation of our networks. This includes application servers, routers, firewall, LAN, WAN, phone systems, printers, and both physical and remote workstations. You will resolve network issues and manage the IT disaster backup and recovery systems. The ideal candidate will think in an innovative and creative way to assist in the growth of our business by providing timely and flexible network solutions.
Responsibilities
- Administer computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, software deployment, and security updates
- Work cross functionally with service desk, security and systems administration personnel to proactively identify areas of improvement within our infrastructure
- Diagnose and fix issues or potential issues with the network and its hardware, software and systems
- Monitor network and systems to improve performance and organizational efficiencies
- Perform vulnerability testing and audits of key systems and network devices
Skills & Qualifications
- A tactical understanding of Network Infrastructure and topology, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and network monitoring tools
- 5+ years experience working in small to medium sized networking environments (startup or fast growth organizations highly preferred)
- Working knowledge of Active Directory administration, Network Security administration, Exchange administration, Secure VPN administration, System Backups and Desktop support
- Mac and PC Knowledge, including Windows 10 and Mac OS, as well as major mobile device operating systems
- Excellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision making and organizational skills under minimal supervision
- Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities in a fast-paced technology company
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Networking, or equivalent is strongly preferred
- Ability to “think on your feet” and remain calm under high pressure situations
