About the Team


The Network Engineer will support the global wide area network, unified communications (VoIP), remote offices, and perimeter security devices. This position requires someone who has multifaceted skill sets and who can manage multiple initiatives/tasks. This person must be able to provide clear written/verbal communications to management and users.


Your Responsibilities


The Network Engineer will be a key contributor in the administration and support of the corporate network infrastructure to meet growth and service reliability requirements.



  • Perform design and configuration changes to ensure network coverage and performance

  • Provide daily support for resolving network/VOIP/firewall/VPN related issues including cloud hosted solutions

  • Participate in design and architecture discussions and propose ways to optimize / stabilize the network infrastructure

  • Execute tasks/fulfill responsibilities associated with network projects

  • Prepare and update network documentation including diagrams, standard build documents and best practice procedures.  

  • Train support staff to troubleshoot level 1 network issues


Basic Qualifications



  • Minimum 5 years experience working with Cisco or Meraki devices, including switches and firewalls

  • Demonstrated successful implementation LAN/WAN networks, including technical troubleshooting

  • Troubleshooting proficiency with voice and wireless infrastructure

  • Understanding of the TCP/IP protocol stack, application protocols such as SNMP, SMTP, DNS, and DHCP

  • Failover planning, design, and testing

  • Ability to balance simultaneous effort between project work and level-2/3 support

  • Strong understanding of monitoring and capacity planning tools

  • Experience working with remote teams across multiple geo locations.

  • Organized with good written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage a project from beginning to end with minimal supervision


Preferred Qualifications



  • Strong knowledge of and experience with Cisco Meraki MR, MS and MX hardware and software

  • Knowledge and experience with multi vendor networks (Cisco/Juniper/Fortinet)

  • Network certification(s) preferred: Cisco or Juniper Certification

  • Setup and management of AWS (VPC / EC2 Network Interfaces / direct connections / storage gateway configuration)

  • Basic systems administration is plus

  • Travel will be required (10%)
