Partner Development Associate
Narrative Science is currently seeking a talented Partner Development Associate to join our Chicago office. Reporting to the Director of Integrated Narrative Solutions & Applications (INSA), this individual will work with cross-functional teams to identify, develop, implement and execute successful partnerships, to include partnerships with other technology companies as well as channel partners. The successful candidate will have approximately 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role, and a strong knowledge of the Business Intelligence space. Additionally, this person will play a vital role in taking Narrative Science to the next level by creating a broader strategy and executing that strategy around channel partnerships.
Responsibilities:
Develop and drive the business strategy to develop and secure new partnerships, to include channel partners as well as technology partners, as well as to grow existing partnerships and prioritize business opportunities
Build strong direct level relationships with channel partners to drive awareness and adoption of INSA products while owning execution of these programs
Develop and establish best practices for working with channel partners as well as internal cross-functional teams to increase effectiveness
Manage the process of new partner agreements, renewals and contract enhancements with senior-level executives, and work with Narrative Science’s internal teams (legal, accounting, etc) to structure and close agreements
Work with marketing to create effective materials for channel partnerships
Provide sales support to ensure partners are competitive and capable to win business including joint sales meeting, proposal development, product demonstrations, and coordination with solution architects and integration teams
Facilitate, develop and manage sales enablement and training plans to ensure partners are equipped to position products/solutions and compete effectively
Work with external firms interested in developing Narrative Science partnerships to explain our technology products and our value proposition
Manage day to day communications with channel partners
Develop channel performance measurement metrics including revenue, profits, key milestones, forecasting, etc.; keep management informed on status and performance through regular communications, forecasts and reports
Ensure flawless on-boarding of new partners
Provide insight on partners’ needs to internal teams on a regular basis; represent their views, requirements, and experience throughout the organization
Ensure partner compliance with partner agreements
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
2-3 years of successful experience in developing and building strategic partnerships that help build foundation for revenue
Proven success building channel partnerships in an emerging company environment with highly technical products, data, and/or business intelligence technology experience preferred
Experience working with both domestic and international partners, channel, and integrators to build strategic programs that drive demand and sales
A strong people influencer, able to gain other stakeholders’ confidence and collaboration
A strategic thinker with a keen ability to make recommendations to move the business forward
Proven outstanding communication skills, presence and energy
CRM experience, Salesforce preferred
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
Excellent organization skills; superior attention to detail
