What You’ll Do:

As a Procurement Analyst, you will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day Procurement process at Uptake. The mission for this role is to ensure that Uptake is purchasing new tools and processing renewals in the most efficient way possible: achieving cost savings while maintaining quality and speed throughout each sourcing project. In this role, you will serve as an analyst across all spend categories, aiding the Procurement Manager in evaluating new software and tools, benchmarking spend data to ensure cost competitiveness, and identifying areas of opportunity to optimize spend at Uptake. You will help maintain integrity in the process through ownership of contract management for all vendor contracts and tracking of upcoming renewals.

Responsibilities:

  • Benchmark licensing and hardware costs to determine cost competitiveness
  • Work cross-functionally with Legal, Information Security, and IT teams to ensure all sourcing requests are reviewed appropriately
  • Complete day-to-day purchasing of new software, hardware, and professional services
  • Aid in documentation and maintenance of Procurement policies and procedures
  • Manage and respond to all Procurement reporting requests
  • Enter and maintain all vendor contracts in contract management system
  • Complete ad-hoc projects related to Procurement processes, database management, software implementation, and others as assigned

Professional Background/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • 1-3 years work experience, 1-2 years Procurement experience preferred
  • Experience completing software and hardware spend benchmarking, market research, and internal spend analysis
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
  • Microsoft Word and Excel proficient
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • High energy, positive team player who works well with others
  • Self-motivator and ability to work independently
  • Proactive and relentless: capable of seeking information independently, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results

Location

We are located in River North just right off the Chicago Brown Line stop. We also provide you with a free shuttle service to/from Ogilvie and Union.
