Product / Account Management at Packback

This is an intern or part-time contract-to-hire role.  The Product / Account Management (PAM) intern at Packback is responsible for handling the needs and questions of Packback's community of diverse students and professors on the Packback Answers platform.

PAM's act as the voice of this community and is on the front lines of the site, interacting with and learning from our users and professors in order to make their experience easier and to learn how to improve Packback itself.

PAM's work closely with our Product, Sales, and Engineering teams across the organization to help build best-practices for keeping our learning communities filled with highly engaged students and professors. They identify and resolve common problems, disseminate product information and solutions, surface issues in the product, and most importantly, act as the voice of our company to our professors adopting the platform. In addition, PAM's are expected to recognize, preempt, and address potential problem areas within user-generated content.

This internship is one-part product management and one-part account management where you will be laying the foundation for the future growth of our Account Management department at Packback within the coming months.

Things you'll be doing:
- Creating & scaling a culture of learning, teaching & quality amongst our users
- Building relationships with & nurturing our most valuable contributors
- Supporting new subject expansion & content efforts
- Designing programming that creates a sense of belonging & membership & drives engagement
- Working closely with our Design, Engineering, and Sales teams to imagine new features and initiatives to delight and motivate our community.

Things we look for:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Prior editing / policy enforcement experience and ability to exercise excellent editorial judgment
- Minimum 20 hours per week (some remote hours allowed)
- Passion for product quality and a positive user experience
- A strong desire and enthusiasm to help others and the ability to empathize
- Critical thinking and investigative skills
- Technical knowledge and understanding of websites preferred
- 1+ year of prior customer-facing experience
