What You’ll Do:

As a Product Analyst for Data Platform, you’ll work closely with data scientists, engineers, and industry experts to design products that solve complex problems. You will serve as the owner of a product built by software development teams that work at the cutting edge of machine learning and data science to deliver. An ideal candidate demonstrates a passion for experimentation, systems thinking and breaking down complex problems.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop expertise in the data science and machine learning solutions that are offered by Uptake

  • Execute Agile, Lean and Continuous Delivery best practices in a product owner capacity

  • Participate in architectural discussions to determine the best technical approaches to pursue

  • Continually research the latest advances in stream processing, machine learning and other related technologies

  • Develop expertise in data sources, structures and schemas

  • Monitor the performance of Uptake’s applications to help identify risks and improvements


Qualifications:

  • 2 - 5 years of experience working in a product, data science or computer science role

  • Experience designing and evaluating algorithms that solve real-world problems

  • Ability to make real-time autonomous decisions when conditions change, based on understanding of the user context, business objectives and client needs

  • Fluency with business strategy, user-centered design, service design and collaborative execution paradigms, including Agile, Scrum and Kanban

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, communication and project management skills

Location

We are located in River North just right off the Chicago Brown Line stop. We also provide you with a free shuttle service to/from Ogilvie and Union.
