Company Background

Would you like to join a highly motivated team on a mission to dramatically improve the lives of people who are battling substance use dependency? 1 out of every 10 Americans is addicted to alcohol or drugs, and yet as few as 1 in 36 people will be in remission 1 year later.

Why? The problem is complex, multi-faceted, and to put it simply: really, really hard to solve.

Our mission is 36 out of 36.

Triggr Health is the first predictive system of care for addiction recovery. We guide and support individuals on their personalized paths to long-term remission, whenever and wherever they need it. Our core platform utilizes phone sensors and phone data to predict the state of an individual’s recovery in real-time, enabling the right care to be delivered proactively the moment it is needed. Imagine if you could predict risk factors that lead to regressive behavior, such as when someone is angry; when they are experiencing a craving; when they are not sleeping well; or when they are falling off their continuing care plan. Now imagine doing all of this without self-reported data.

Our system combines machine learning with evidence-based care to predict a person’s health and reach them at the optimal time.

We are a world-class team of engineers, designers, doctors, and researchers from institutions such as Stanford, Google, UCSF School of Medicine, UPENN, Northwestern, and Rackspace. We are currently working with many of the top treatment providers, government initiatives, health systems, and academic research programs in the world.

We have come together because we believe that our friends, our family, and every person struggling with a behavioral health condition deserves the best possible care. We are building a world where everyone reaches long-term recovery.

Job Description

We are building end-user-facing apps on both Android and iOS and a customer-facing web application. As the lead Product Designer, you must care deeply about building a product that positively engages people in early recovery. You will be responsible for combining quantitative data with qualitative insight about what support people need, how to reach individuals in times of crisis, and how to effectively iterate a platform to the point that it gets every person to long-term remission. Effective design for this population requires balancing how people utilize Triggr Health with the clinical impact each and every product feature has on the individual.

By optimizing the participant’s journey through the Triggr Health system of care, you have the opportunity to dramatically improve the lives of people who desperately need an effective model and are all too often not given access to evidence-based treatment. The role requires a highly empathetic, driven person who embraces the opportunity to go out in the world and talk with people working through a serious medical condition. You must be data-driven in your design approach, be able to effectively collaborate with a variety of product stakeholders, and most importantly, care deeply about participants of Triggr Health.

Qualifications

●      High EQ with a strong desire to do anything it takes to assist those in early recovery.

●      Must always care about the “why” and have a strong desire to interface directly with individuals utilizing the platform as well as people in all stages of recovery.

●      Experience designing a consumer facing mobile product using data to support key iterations.

●      The ability to balance qualitative feedback and intuition with quantitative analysis and data-driven decisions;

●      Familiarity with data tracking tools like Mixpanel or Google Analytics and funnel optimization

●      An ability to implement the visual identity, brand and style guidelines across all of Triggr Health.

●      Experience working in an unstructured environment

●      High levels of creativity and willingness to think outside the box.

●      Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

●      An ability to think and act independently while being part of a bigger team. We’re a startup so you will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle.

●      A desire to build an entirely new way to deliver care!

●      Passion for working in a startup environment and an understanding that times get rough, schedules can be chaotic, everyone needs help sometimes, and we can still have fun working together.
