Why is this role important?

We are looking for a product manager to partner with the CEO to usher in a new era for our core product, eSpark.  The product has been incredibly successful at making learning enjoyable and effective for students and needs a new vision and product strategy for the future.   

 

Key Responsibilities as a Product Manager

  • Understand and analyze needs of school leaders, teachers, and young students
  • Define the product vision and strategy
  • Work with engineers and designers to build and launch new features

 

Qualifications

  • Problem solving with data.  You can define and pull in data from many disparate domains (usage, satisfaction, academic outcomes, retention), perform analysis, and use it to decide a path forward.  
  • Product passion.  You have a love and respect for good products, no matter where they come from, and you live to create them.
  • Business acumen.  You understand how to scan the market environment, analyze a complex competitor, business, device, and ecosystem landscape and paint a compelling path forward.
  • Customer empathy.  You have empathy for the key stakeholders we serve including students, teachers, and school leaders.   

 

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in a quantitative field

 

This role will report to the CEO for the first 12-18 months and then will report to Vice President of Product.
