Responsibilities:

If you’re looking to take a company and your career to the next level, we’re searching for a Software Engineer interested in developing in Python and/or Ruby who wants to advance in:

• Building and maintaining high-traffic web sites using the Rails and Django web frameworks
• Crafting deep integrations into our clients’ platforms and third-party services.
• Leveraging statistical modeling techniques to optimize treatments.
• Integrating internally and externally generated data to help our platform deliver the right message to our client’s consumers in real time.
• Participating in pairing sessions, code reviews, lightning talks, and researching things independently.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years’ experience relating to web-based software development using open source technologies. 
• Experience in Python and Ruby is ideal, but a background in other languages is fine too.
• Real-world experience using web application frameworks (Rails and Django are ideal, but others like Spring are acceptable also) to build high-traffic web sites and applications.
• Non-trivial experience with any SQL-based RDBMS (PostgreSQL experience is especially useful)
• Knowledge of version control systems (especially Git)
• Understanding of pragmatic engineering practices like iterative releases, test-driven development, object oriented design and continuous integration
