Salesforce.com Developer

MSDSonline is looking for a talented and eager person to become the newest member of our team.  You will join a Salesforce.com team that will mentor and train you while you work closely with the Manager of Salesforce.com Operations to help design, develop, and maintain complex applications that expand MSDSonline’s use of Salesforce.com.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop application code using VisualForce pages and Apex to ensure that the design specifications are met
  • Collaborate to identify solutions for business requirements within Salesforce.com
  • Assist in ongoing maintenance and production support of existing applications within Salesforce.com
  • Assist with Salesforce.com Administrator tasks as needed
  • Maintain currency with Salesforce development best practices and knowledge by researching and completing training courses
  • Train other team members on Salesforce development practices as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Minimal Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Technology field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with Salesforce.com administration
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong orientation to detail, process, and prioritization
  • Proven experience performing independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creativity, resourcefulness, and able to think outside of the box

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with Salesforce.com administration
  • 1+ years developing Apex, Triggers, Visualforce Pages, Components and Controllers
  • Development experience within Salesforce.com
  • Familiarity installing custom apps in Salesforce.com
  • Proficient in Microsoft Access
  • Salesforce.com Certifications
  • Knowledge of SOQL and Salesforce record indexing
  • Project management experience/skills
