We have an opening in our Revenue Accounting team for a Senior Accountant. This position will perform monthly and quarterly close activities for revenue, reconcile deferred revenue, prepare required journal entries, analyze data, and prepare reports for external auditors and management. In addition, the position will also assist with process re-engineering and system enhancement projects within the professional services revenue stream. Candidates for this position should be ambitious, outgoing and interested in learning one of the most complex areas of financial reporting. Responsibilities:

• Own revenue and deferred revenue for the assigned revenue streams to ensure they are accurately recorded.
• Perform monthly/quarterly revenue accounting close duties, including account reconciliations and unbilled AR review.
• Analyze and review contracts for proper revenue recognition in compliance with the company’s revenue recognition policies.
• Assist with the implementation of a system enhancement within the professional services revenue stream.
• Direct daily work of staff accountants, which includes contract review, invoicing and revenue recognition start dates.
• Work closely with various departments, such as sales,legal, delivery and operations.
• Assist Revenue Manager and Director with special projects, including analyses related to product pricing, VSOE, sales tax, and audit preparation.

 Requirements:

• CPA required.
• Minimum 2-3 years public accounting experience.
• Demonstrates strong working knowledge of US GAAP, Revenue Recognition and SEC financial reporting.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and prioritization skills; interested in identifying and fixing problems.
• Excellent teamwork, including the ability to interact with all organization levels.

Education:

We prefer college-educated applicants, but at minimum, high school diploma or equivalent is required for employment.
