Origin Ventures is currently seeking an associate to serve as a key member of the investment team. This person will help Origin source, diligence, invest and assist the next cohort of world-changing technology companies as a part of a recently-raised forth fund. Associates at Origin would report to the four partners and would be involved in all aspects of the business.
Responsibilities
- Identify, source, and evaluate new investment opportunities
- Conduct detailed due diligence
- Support investment team in negotiation and investment execution
- Execute various projects as needed, including developing and researching investment theses
- Establish and maintain strong professional networks inside and outside the Origin network
- Assist individual portfolio companies in support of Origin board members
- Coordinate investor reporting and fundraising support
- Extend fund's institutional infrastructure
- 5+ years of experience required
- MBA or advanced technical degree strongly preferred
- Origin favors individuals who have demonstrated success in several of a variety of fields relevant to our business. These fields include: venture capital, private equity, startups, product management, engineering, technology banking, business development, or similar roles. - Experience with large-scale data analysis and data infrastructure is a plus
- Catalyze innovation by working closely with entrepreneurs who are developing world-changing businesses
