About the Opportunity:

We are looking for a passionate Sr. Associate of Social Media that will help develop, execute and optimize GrubHub’s content and social media channels.. This position is responsible for helping the Sr. Manager of Social Media creating compelling, culturally relevant and disruptive social, content and viral messaging with the goal of increasing awareness, engagement, impressions and followers across Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr to name a few.  The Sr. Associate of Social Media will work closely with other cross functional teams to support Brand Campaigns, Brand Moments, Restaurants and diner engagement working closely with our social media agencies and partners.  This position will provide insight, guidance and training on content and social media best practices & trends to fellow team members.  .

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

●        Own the development of social media calendars & supporting programs. 

●        Work with internal and external partners to create, edit and publish content to websites and social media platforms

●        Continuously measure and report on social media activities, trends and campaign results while delivering insights to drive continuous improvement and reinvestment strategies

●        Leverage consumer research to promote and optimize content that resonates with consumers

●        Serve as a company subject matter expert for social media sites such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook & Snapchat by researching and maintaining expertise in current and emerging social media platforms within the industry

●        Benchmark and research competitors and industry leaders in social media

●        Leverage web and social analytic tools to develop reports and provide insights and recommendations for program improvements

●        Provide regular status reports and briefings to stakeholders and functional leadership teams

●        Manage and prioritize work effectively to ensure internal deadlines, timetables and approvals are met

 

You Should Have:

●        Bachelor’s degree in marketing, strong social media skills, advertising, communications, journalism as related fields

●        2-4 years of experience in social media marketing, content marketing or related fields

●        Strong understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices

●        Strong competency and experience with using social media, personally and professionally

●        Experience with key technologies and related industry tools.

●        A/B testing or multivariate testing experience

●        Experience analyzing data, identifying trends, summarizing results and making recommendations based on findings

●        Ability to think strategically and suggest creative solutions

●        Proactive approach and enthusiasm to problem identification and solving

●        Detail oriented and efficiency-minded – balancing strategy with operational requirement

●        Comfortable interacting with different levels of management and leading cross-functional, cross-regional teams

●        Skilled at planning, organizing, prioritizing, and executing simultaneous projects and activities
