Overview:

The Senior Conversion Optimization (CO) Account Strategist is responsible for leading the success of clients' Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and content marketing programs. The Sr. CO Account Strategist provides thought leadership on landing page testing and user experience consulting; builds strong relationships; establishes clear lines of communication with clients, partners and internal staff members; and uses problem-solving capabilities to ensure flawless program execution to meet and exceed stated objectives.

The ideal Sr. CO Account Strategist candidate will possess an eye for detail, a mind for creativity and the ability to manage time and processes for internal and external clients. Success will depend on the ability to enthusiastically and competently deliver on the following:

  • CRO strategy, execution, reporting and analysis
  • A zest for A/B testing and User Experience (UX)
  • Account management – from planning to delivery and continued growth
  • An entrepreneurial spirit to create magic alongside your clients and coworkers
  • Successful collaboration with internal resources (including design, analytics and cross-channel teams)
  • Making team members, internal clients and external clients smile big and often

Role Objectives:

Account Management

  • Serve as the primary contact for all items related to the clients and their individual program goals
  • Collaborate and interface with the internal account teams to drive strategic program plans
  • Keep management apprised of key client opportunities, potential risks and other key nuances which affect the health of the business
  • Coordinate conversion opportunity efforts including landing page optimization, web site testing and other optimization tactics to improve performance across digital media campaigns
  • Interfaces with other department leads to share ideas, communicate service offerings, and to identify and deliver new solutions for clients
  • Monitors and reports program status to senior management
  • Leads client programs with confidence and clarity
  • Drives overall strategy and tactics needed to achieve stated client goals
  • Understands organic search optimization best practices and articulates knowledge and client deliverables effectively

Program Management

  • Directs and manages the daily work flow of all client programs, including initiation and management of projects across departments and testing and optimization efforts
  • Reviews client deliverables for quality and ensures that recommendations and work product are sound and viable
  • Creates and executes search account strategies and plans for each client
  • Provides excellent communication via phone, emails and direct contact
  • Effectively creates and delivers client presentations
  • Provides thought leadership to clients in UX and Conversion design as well as digital marketing trends
  • Commands data analysis of key metrics to identify, recommend and implement changes for increasing the performance of client programs
  • Uses analytics as an input source for strategy and program direction
  • Meets specified deadlines 

Team Leadership & Development

  • Embraces and encourages a culture based on team work, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity
  • Adopts stated account management standards and program management best practices
  • Assists in training, mentoring, and developing team members

Process Improvement

  • Assists in the development and documentation of best practices for improving operational efficiencies within the team and the group
  • Identification of new developments and trends in the marketplace around CRO and digital content marketing

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, concentration in business, marketing, or advertising preferred
  • 2-4 years of account management experience in online advertising, direct marketing, or e-commerce
  • Firm knowledge of CRO best practices, program management and technical savvy
  • Experience with A/B testing and conversion path optimization
  • Familiarity with testing platforms like: Optimizely, VWO, ion, Target, Unbounce, etc.
  • Familiarity with optimization techniques for eCommerce sites a plus
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and/or PPC experience a plus
  • Understanding of online analytics metrics and related statistical concepts
  • Experience with a web analytics platform such as Omniture, Google Analytics, or Coremetrics
  • Exposure to website development/design processes including development of wireframes, preferred
  • Technical knowledge and aptitude to learn basic website architectural design, HTML, CSS and XML a plus
  • Demonstrated problem solving and project management skills
  • Minimum of 1-2 years as associate account manager or equivalent if internal candidate
  • High competency level in MS Office with specific strengths in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Able to work independently and balance multiple tasks
