We are an early stage startup that is already starting to make a big impact in the Market Research space.  We’ve built out our MVP over the past year and a half, and have attracted a number of Fortune 500 clients to build a strong foundation for what’s next.  Now it’s time to look to the future and build out our organization to take things to the next level.  That’s where you come in.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead development on the next wave of innovation for our company from architecture to completion and position us for success in the future
• Play a key role in structuring our platform
• Collaborate with the CTO on building the technical organization
• Collaborate with the CTO on designing and implementing best practices across the organization that encompass areas such as testing, documentation, and development methodology
• Work closely with the rest of the organization to translate client needs into actionable software decisions

Skills

• 4+ years experience in software development
• Deep understanding of Python and Django
• Strong familiarity with Javascript  If you know Angular we’d be pretty excited as well
• Solid relational DBMS and document database skills.
• Experience with Lucene/Elasticsearch would be a big plus
• Solid understanding of Linux (Ubuntu or similar flavor) with any administrative experience a big plus
• Extensive experience with automated testing
• Proficiency in Gitfu
• Excellent communication skills both written and interpersonal
• Proven track record of being able to build a team, deliver quality software, maintain relationships and take a real leadership role
• Proficient in Agile software development methodology, processes and practices
• Dedication to personal growth, learning and teaching others
