Help us build a digital marketplace for green buildings.

The Challenge

Buildings are the world's #1 consumer of energy and resources, and our mission is to help them use less.

We are an early-stage company seeking to disrupt the $40B market for energy efficiency retrofits by developing a marketplace that connects buildings, people, products and services.

Our Company

Our flagship product, Green Per Square Foot, enables building owners and managers to profile their buildings, find savings opportunities, and connect to a network of qualified solutions providers. We're solving a number of industry pain points for commercial building owners by quantifying how much building owners can actually save and providing new insight on which service providers are best able to serve them.

Our leadership team has significant experience getting tech startups off the ground, as well as deep roots in the commercial real estate industry. We recently completed a $2.0M Series A funding round, inked deals with several significant channel partners, and are staffing up to fill key roles on our product development team.

We’re a casual team that leans towards healthy living and a strong work-life balance. We adhere to agile principles with sprints and user stories. Hipsters we’re not, but we know our pop culture better than the E Network and enjoy the occasional office beer. We're located in River North and share space with one of our investors, a large B2B media company.

About You

You’re living in Chicago looking for real problems to solve and you revel in not just the details, but also the challenge of how to operationalize the solution. You enjoy the push and pull of a group full of strong personalities who care deeply about what they do, with the reward of a team that wants to do great things together.

You have solid back-end product development experience; the necessary fluency across languages to envision cool products, correct errors, supervise the external development team and implement our goals; and an interest being a problem-solver and active participant in creating a product vision, not just a technician.

Job Description

  • Design and architect new product features
  • Write, QA, and maintain code
  • Collaborate with other development team members
