About the Position
This role would be the lead iOS engineer working to develop the first iOS version of the product. He/she would join a small team working across the entire technology stack to deliver an amazing first version. The ideal candidate welcomes a new codebase and knows how to develop the initial framework from which the application can grow and mature. You would be responsible for key architectural and technology decisions related to iOS and would be part of a larger team making general technology and product decisions.
Responsibilities
Architect, develop, test, and launch releases of the Medean iOS mobile application
Provide key technology advice and architectural input for Medean’s technology platform
Work with designers to refine and adjust iOS design maintaining an amazing product while also considering technical limitations, time to implement, and other technical factors
Keep up-to-date on iOS development best practices and updates, ensuring the company utilizes the latest features and makes important technical transformations as needed
Maintain clear and focused communication on iOS development progress, challenges, and technical debts incurred
At least four years professional software development experience
At least two years professional iOS development experience
Experience working with internal RESTful APIs
Experience defining and implementing iOS test strategies
Experience in one other technical or product area. For example, one of: UI/UX design, product management, QA engineer, backend API development, DevOps, or Web front end
Dependable and community oriented individual who is a proactive and positive thinker
Focused and clear communicator who values collaboration, transparency, and accountability
Desired but not required, financial technology experience
Desired but not required, previous startup experience
Desired but not required, React Native experience
