We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Operations team and drive the planning and execution of several critical initiatives. The Product Manager will play an instrumental role as we develop and launch new experiences for our hungry diners and will be the key point person and subject matter expert for a significant area of our business – our diner ordering platforms, our restaurant facing technology and programs, or our internal business operations and technologies.
Operations is an exciting and growing area at GrubHub, and we are looking for disruptive, entrepreneurial individuals to help innovate and develop products in this space.
Responsibilities
- Develop “bottoms-up” program plan (schedule, resourcing/budget, risk assessment/mitigation and rollout plan) across a suite of interconnected projects, designed to deliver key objectives of each project at a high level of quality while hitting an aggressive schedule
- Support a governance framework for the program. Ensure that decisions are made in a timely fashion by the appropriate decision-makers and interface directly with key stakeholders to understand, manage, and document dependencies and status. Identify and resolve concerns or blockers as they arise to allow the projects to move at an unimpeded pace
- Plan and drive execution of the major strategic projects of the program, working cross-functionally to manage risks, cost, quality, and rollout over the duration
- Manage ongoing reporting to stakeholders, including written and verbal communication of major project metrics as well as status for each project and for the program as a whole
- Gathering and unearthing unmet customer needs through research, data analysis, user experience analysis and testing, competitive research and any other relevant tools
- Demonstrated collaboration skills, working across a broad organization including technology, account management, marketing, finance, operations, business development and sales.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of program management experience, working independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholder groups
- Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to lead a group of cross-functional stakeholders to resolve ambiguous situations efficiently and successfully
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple simultaneous timelines and deliverables for complex projects
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking to complement strong tactical execution skills
- Sharp, energetic, assertive, results-oriented and able to shift gears when needed in a rapidly evolving environment
- Expertise in MS Project or equivalent project management software, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint; PMI PMP or equivalent certifications a plus
- BA required; advanced degree/MBA preferred
