About the role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Security Engineer to join our growing security team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our ITAM, Vulnerability Management, and Patching processes. You will leverage your expertise to identify and manage all IT assets, proactively identify and prioritize vulnerabilities, and implement a comprehensive patching strategy to minimize our cyber risk.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the development and implementation of a robust ITAM program to track all hardware, software, and cloud assets across the organization.
- Develop and maintain a vulnerability management program that identifies, prioritizes, and remediates vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
- Oversee the patching process for all systems, ensuring timely deployment of security patches to minimize risks.
- Analyze vulnerability scan results to identify critical vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate remediation actions.
- Work with IT operations teams to ensure successful patching of all systems.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest IT security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Develop and maintain documentation for ITAM, vulnerability management, and patching processes.
- Participate in security assessments and audits.
- Contribute to the overall security posture of the organization.
- Experience working in Enterprise AWS environment (certification preferred)
- Experience with Python/coding
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in security engineering with a focus on ITAM, vulnerability
- CISSP or CISM (Preferred)
- Proven experience in developing and implementing ITAM programs.
- Strong understanding of vulnerability management methodologies and tools.
- Experience with patching tools and processes.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
