If so, you're not alone!  Fooda partners with trendy local restaurants to provide awesome food at reasonable prices to employees while at work.  We’ve built a technology platform for employees to easily buy tasty lunch everyday, and for restaurants to get access to new, loyal customers.  Fooda is a proven, venture-backed, growing startup with an experienced team.

What You’ll be Doing:

• You should love to code! Spend 50-75% of your time in active development
• Lead the team in software architecture and development decisions
• Work with business stakeholders and UX team to define, execute and test technology solutions
• Understand how our business works and balance technical requirements with business needs
• Help develop other individuals on the engineering team through code reviews and pairing
• Lead improvements to the process of building software and managing technical debt for the team
• Define scope, break problems into sprints, estimate timelines and be flexible as changes arise
• Take a technology project from concept to deployment
• Work with the management team and other internal teams in a collaborative manner

What You Should Already Have:

• Advanced Ruby on Rails and RESTful experience
• Experience as a senior engineer or team lead, with strong technical design and architecture skills
• Experience leading a team through an agile software development process
• Relational database experience, specifically with PostgreSQL
• Experience with Haml/Sass and solid understanding of Git and Git Flow
• Strong understanding of unit testing and front end integration
• Effective communication skills to interact with internal and external team members
• Previous experience with consumer applications a plus. You should embrace the connection between marketing and technology
• Startup experience is a plus
