As a Sr. Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be part of a highly skilled software engineering team responsible for developing products for the mobile security space. We are seeking a candidate with proven distributed systems experience and automation skills to work with the engineering and quality teams to build system-level test automation and execute automated and manual tests. The successful candidate will work as part of a team in order to:

Design, develop, implement and improve test methodologies, test plans and test cases
Perform manual and automated functional and full system tests for NowSecures’ security products
Create, deploy and maintain automated system tests to replicate real-world scenarios
Review bug descriptions, functional requirements and design documents
Work in an agile and expedited project structure

Experience Required:

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills
• 4+ years experience in Software Quality Assurance and/or software development experience
• 4+ years experience testing distributed applications/services
• 4+ years experience working with one or more common Internet protocols such as IP, TCP, HTTP/S, DNS, FTP, and/or SSL
• 1+ year experience with Linux and command line instructions
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Strong communication skills, highly driven, positive attitude, self-motivated and very flexible
• Ability to work independently, and with a team

Preferred Candidates Will Possess:

• Experience developing and maintaining test automation scripts, libraries and frameworks
• Experience with security software
• Experience working with remote development teams
• Experience with continuous integration systems like Jenkins
• Experience with Linux internals
• Experience with client/server testing
• Experience working with one scripting languages such as Python and PHP

Must be willing to work in our HQ in Oak Park, Illinois just outside Chicago off the Green Line.
