The Senior Test Engineer is an integral part of SIM Partner’s technology team to ensure that all of our products are held to the highest standard of software quality and are ready for rapid deployment using test automation. We are currently seeking individuals with strong technical skills to join the team, that is responsible for manual testing, database validation and automated testing and someone who is passionate about problem solving and has a strong desire to automate and build tools.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed test cases (both manual & automated) to address business requirements and to maintain proper traceability for test coverage
• Review business requirements, technical requirements and understand product priorities for every release deployments
• Contribute to the continuous advancement of current QA processes and maintain repeatable processes
• Technically involved in troubleshooting and addressing test failures in various test environments
• Ensure risk mitigation, prioritization, and successful execution of all testing deliverables
• Work closely with the release team to develop automated and manual testing strategies
• Design and implement test automation framework to support test automation road map
• Drive continuous integration process initiatives part of current QA test automation goals
• Analyzes test results from a technical standpoint and the ability to isolate defects prior to escalating to the development team for resolution
• Track test coverage and other metrics
• Report significant defects and tracks all defects and project issues

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle(SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and/or testing web applications
• 8-10+ years of experience in a software quality assurance team environment working with building & executing test cases and report defects
• At least 6-8 years of experience in building, maintaining test automation frameworks and execution of automation test scripts built on using tools such as HP QTP or Robot Framework or Selenium. etc.
• 2-3+ years of hands on experience in continuous integration effort as part of test driven development
• At least 1 -2 years hands on programming experience in Java for test automation
• 4-5 years of experience in building and executing SQL queries for validation testing using MS SQL Server
• Experience in Browser Compatibility Testing and testing web applications using various mobile devices of different mobile operating systems
• Experience in creating and maintaining automation tests (integration, regression, performance, etc.)
• Understanding of Agile Methodology and other software development methodologies
• Experience in testing for Web APIs
• Experience Testing Web Services (REST, SOAP UI, XMLRPC, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills /troubleshoot skills
