JOB SUMMARY:

SAVO is looking for a Senior Visual Designer to lead the design of our Sales Enablement Software.  This individual will create and communicate standardized design language, design patterns, and aesthetic for all of our applications. Candidates must possess exceptional visual and user interface design skills, as well as knowledge of user-centered design principles. The applicant must have an affinity for consistency, color use, typography, and a keen eye for subtle details. While exercising a good eye for aesthetics, candidates must be able to grasp and distill highly complex issues and translate them into clean, focused, understandable solutions. Advocate for simplicity at every moment, constantly reevaluate existing products and suggest ways to fix and enhance the experience. The ideal candidate possesses a blend of user interface design, visual design, and prototyping skills.  Interest in emerging technologies in web, mobile, and other devices is required. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

• Communicate effectively in a cross-functional product development team and present ideas and designs effectively.
  
• Present the user interface visually so information is easy to read, easy to understand and easy to find.
  
• Test your ideas and designs for usability issues ahead of development.
  
• Effectively communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale in the context of a user-centered design process, via the use of high fidelity mockups.
  
• Create holistic design solutions that address business, brand and user requirements. 
  
• Create a software design aesthetic that is consistent across applications while considering the nuances associated with different personas.
  
• Creating a cohesive style guide and ensuring that a consistent design language is applied across the product.
  
• Crafting beautiful icons, controls, and visual elements and making use of suitable typography.
  
• Create and iterate on designs that reflect a brand, enforce a language, and inject beauty and life into the product.
  
• Should be flexible in design as new information and learning comes in through research, user interviews, and usability tests.
  
• Should work effectively hand in hand with developers, sometimes using development as the “paintbrush” in a live, on-screen coding scenario.
  
• Demonstrable fluency with Photoshop, Illustrator, or other design tools.
  
• Ability to communicate design concept ideas through sketches and wireframes

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

• Three or more years of visual design experience for software, interactive, Web applications, which leverage emergent technologies, consumer electronics and/or mobile devices
  
• Experience creating and shipping world-class products with a portfolio showing visual design work and illustrating problem solving across a variety of projects.
  
• A natural diplomat and strong collaborator who can thrive in a cross-functional team environment to present and iterate on your designs.
  
• A proven history of working across the organization.
  
• Experience working in Agile project teams.
