PrettyQuick is an on-demand app for booking beauty services. But unlike cabs and food (*cough Uber OpenTable GrubHub cough*) our $60B industry hasn't yet been won. Beauty booking is a challenging space due to salon fragmentation and complex consumer decision-making. PrettyQuick is leading the pack thanks to rigorous problem-solving, creative thinking, and uncompromising vision. We are solving challenging technical and UX problems through a unique suite of real-time solutions. We need an experienced full-stack developer with the courage and confidence to help us innovate in a massive industry.

We also have an ace in the hole: we were bought by Groupon in June! We will continue to operate as a standalone brand within the larger company. This puts us in a SUPER exciting position - a small team with the resources of a major multinational. You’ll be able to contribute at every stage of product development, from requirements through design and development to testing and release. You'll have a lot of responsibility for defining your work. Your ideas and feedback will be an essential influence on our strategy, process, and product.

Our engineering lead will be your resource on a daily basis to help you define your projects, determine your approach, answer questions, and generally make sure you have everything you need to be successful. We want you to get as much out of this opportunity as you're putting into it! We have plenty of work at all levels of the stack so we're happy to hear from people with specialties and preferences, existing or envisioned.

• Strong programming background in an object oriented language
• Some web experience
• Desire to learn rails if you don't use it already
• Passionate about user experience
• Bonus points if you have experience creating APIs
