Position Description:

As an international software company with an exciting new brand to market, Computhink has a thirst for exciting marketing and a passion for trying new things. We’re looking for a part-time intern to start immediately in our suburban Lombard, Illinois location. The best Social Media Marketing Intern will assist our marketing team with the day-to-day management of our growing social media channels. This is an ongoing, paid internship that provides real-world experience, as well as the opportunity for college credit. That’s right; we will pay you to be our next awesome marketing intern.

If you’re diligent, detail orientated, and willing to take initiative, then you’re off to a good start. Our ideal Social Media Marketing Intern will show an interest in lean marketing and want to explore and suggest new ideas to make Contentverse stand out among the competition.

The Social Media Marketing Intern will captain Computhink’s social media strategy, guiding it through the over-populated masses to develop brand awareness, generate inbound traffic, and encourage product adoption.  You will also be expected to report on Analytics – talk about a resume builder.

Oh, and we're totally open to hiring our interns full-time if they prove that they're awesome.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Product development team to ensure social media tools (for ex. FB connect, Sharing buttons) are kept up to date
  • Manage social media campaigns and day-to-day activities. Duties include online advocacy, writing editorial, community-outreach efforts, promotions, etc.
  • Manage presence in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, posting on relevant blogs, and seeding content into social applications as needed
  • Become an advocate of Computhink in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
  • Report on effective benchmarks of social media campaign
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, trends and applications

Qualifications/Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Reddit, Pinterest, etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format, and build and maintain relationships
  • Sense of humor
  • Excellent command over the English language and expert writing, editing and proofreading
  • Current knowledge of industry news, product launches and technologies in Social Media
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and manage time-sensitive, detailed-oriented, multi-faceted projects
  • Some analytical skills and reporting required

Internship Hours: 15-20 hours per week
Internship Credit: Offered, managed between student and school
