Job Brief
We are looking for a driven Freelance Social Media Specialist to attract and interact with targeted virtual communities and network users. The social media specialist should have a solid understanding of how each social media platform works and how to optimize content in order to create engagement on each channel.
Overall Responsibilities
- Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
- Strategize to create compelling content (written, photo, and video) for social media channels, including but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, Instagram Stories, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, and Google+
- Execute social media programs and outreach for external audiences (i.e. Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook)
- Provide content creation, project management, reporting, campaign tracking
- Develop and execute scheduling of social media posts for each of our brands using SproutSocial
- Engage with audiences and track performance across social media platforms
- Create long term social media plans and content calendars.
- Be creative and engage in written communication, especially within the restrictions of social media platforms, while adhering to brand voice guidelines
- Develop a content measurement plan to communicate content performance
- 5+ years of experience in social media management with demonstrated track record on visible social media platforms
- Proficient in social media dashboards and interpreting analytics.
- Ability to generate ideas for social media content creation
- Strong communication and grammar skills, and eagerness to learn new channels and creative ways for communicating and measuring the success of programs
- Highly organized, with an ability to coordinate, prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously
