WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Identify and report issues regarding financial advice algorithms

  • Create detailed quality control processes to ensure functional, clean software

  • Manage manual and automated testing plans

  • Maintain and publish changelogs and release notes to keep track of software updates and known issues

  • Meet with external partners and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and report progress

  • Help organize and coordinate data integration across financial institutions

  • Obtain and document financial data domain knowledge from internal experts

  • Transfer domain knowledge to designers, developers and testers

  • Communicate effectively with designers, software engineers and financial advisors

  • Organize and prioritize project workflow and keep team members on track to meet deadlines


WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Design or equivalent experience

  • You are comfortable working with datasets and enjoy mathematical problems

  • You have experience with or interest in scripting languages

  • You are self-motivated and have experience maintaining your workflow independently

  • You possess strong communication skills and are eager to work with people across skillsets and seniority

  • You are detail-oriented and have experience juggling multiple priorities and overlapping project timelines

  • You understand the software development life cycle and development methodologies such as agile, waterfall and lean

  • You’re comfortable representing Nextcapital in communication with outside teams

  • Experience in financial planning or investing is a plus
