You’ll play a key part of the Groupon Test Engineering team. That means you’ll be responsible for the architecture, design, implementation and test of our products in an exciting, high-visibility, high-impact Development team.

The Test Engineering team at Groupon strives to be a trailblazer when it comes to implementing custom test automation solutions for our microservice based platform architecture. We follow engineering best practices to maintain performance standards when developing Tooling and Test infrastructure to support quality initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for design and execution of Test strategies in an Agile team
• Design, implement and maintain Agile QA processes and test automation suites based on product needs utilizing custom frameworks and test infrastructure for release certification
• Be the voice of quality by uncovering issues, debugging the application through logs, stack traces and test results, continuous monitoring of systems under test and applications in production to increase confidence in the product or features rolled out
• Senior Test engineers will be responsible to lead cross-team test projects and provide strategic direction for automation test strategies including mentorship and coaching of junior members
• Research emerging test tools, trends and methodologies and enhance existing systems and processes
• Continually refine your tests because you’re never satisfied that you’ve covered enough

Required Skills:

• BE or BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Excellent coding skills in one or more Object Oriented programming languages: C++, Java
• Hands-on experience with working on X-unit family of frameworks such as JUnit, Dbunit, TestNg or a comparable solution
• Hands-on experience in setting up continuous integration (CI) build environments using Jenkins/Hudson, TeamCity or a comparable solution.
• Proficiency in writing WebDriver/Selenium2.0 based UI automation tests.
• Proven track record of Test planning and Test metrics generation for large-scale web applications and services
• Demonstrated competence and passion for test
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
