We are looking for a Software Engineer (DevOps) to join our IT DevOps team. This individual is responsible for the successful operation and support of Frontline’s AppliTrack suite of applications.  The Software Engineer (DevOps) is responsible for overseeing Frontline application policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of Frontline applications.  The Software Engineer is responsible for working with the product development and client services team(s), focusing on the consideration for web and applications regarding deployment, performance and availability for all Frontline applications being developed.  Additionally, the Software Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining internal tools, applications, scripts, services and procedures for client services and management of the suite of applications. This is a platform developer.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain internal tools, applications, scripts, services and procedures for client services and management of the suite of applications
  • Work as part of an Agile Scrum Development Project team to coordinate application development and delivery
  • Monitor and  tune Frontline application system performance
  • Perform routine audits of systems.
  • Maintain & report system performance statistics.
  • Monitor, optimize and allocate system resources required for Frontline applications
  • Safeguard application information against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure
  • Build and Maintain redundant systems and procedures for high availability and disaster recovery
  • Implement and maintain change control and testing processes for Frontline Application software modifications
Qualifications:
  • Experience in web application development, including familiarity with Javascript, CSS, HTML
  • Experience with IIS management and troubleshooting
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting
  • Experience managing web farms in a high traffic SaaS environment
  • Microsoft Windows 2003, 2008 and 2012 server including 2012 Core
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills including robust troubleshooting skills with a focus on preventative actions
  • Basic MS SQL Server knowledge
  • Experience in Virtualization and Vmware technology
  • Experience in High Availability concepts (clustering, mirroring, redundancy)
  • Experience or understanding of continuous delivery deployment practices
  • Experience or understanding of Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with .Net applications architecture components (caching, content delivery, high availability, load balancing)

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years of experience
  • Performing system and custom application administration functions and supporting custom web applications in a 24x7 production environment
  • Developing web applications.
