Software Engineer (.NET) SEALS Team
We are looking for a .NET support engineer with 3-5 years of experience to work on-site with a number of development projects that enhance Guaranteed Rate's software applications.
Who is GR?

So what do we want from you?
Are you a tenacious problem solver? Do you love solving complex problems? If so, we want you! We are looking for a software engineer experienced in building services and applications using C# but also has experience having branched out into other languages & tools outside the Microsoft stack, including JavaScript/node.js, Clojure or F#, or other languages such as Ruby or Python. We want someone with strong software development fundamentals and experience working with in-house teams in an agile environment. You will be part of a strategic support team that enhances and maintains an array of Guaranteed Rate's software applications. Additionally, we need you to bring your skills to the table but also be ready and interested to learn new technologies outside of .NET, such as node.js/JavaScript development, or Clojure, to name a few. This allows our engineering staff to be more well-rounded but also move more fluidly between teams when opportunities arise. In addition, we have teams who work-from-home 1 or 2 days week so if that is important to you, we are right there with you.
What you’ll bring to the table?
- A minimum 3 years experience with C# and at least 1 other language/platform besides .NET
- Ability to produce efficient, clean code that is resilient and maintainable
- Ability to understand business goals, recognize customer needs, and provide pragmatic solutions
- Good communications skills and a desire to work in a collaborative setting
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming principles
- Experience using unit testing frameworks (e.g., NUnit, MSTest, etc)
- Experience working in agile environments
- Experience developing REST-based API's
- Experience with build automation tools (Jenkins, Team City, etc) is a plus
