Layout Service team is responsible for templates and assets that control all of Groupon front-end. Every Time you visit Groupon on Web or Mobile Web, we are serving the template for rendering of the front-end page. We support all of our business units, not just in the US, but in 26 countries around the world for desktop, tablet, and mobile handset browser users. We take pride in ownership of what we build, we do our own deploys and monitor ourapplications in production across global data centers.

We are looking for an experienced Front End Software Engineer who has interest in working on large-scale web applications. In this role, you would be responsible for the design and implementation of new efficient and reusableuser-facing features, working along the Product and Engineering team to build game changing products.

We use technologies like Node.js, Coffee Script, and mustache interacting with backend services via RESTful APIs.

Also, we are a distributed team and leverage video conferencing, group chat, and screen sharing to help us stay connected with each other as we do our work-practicing scrum.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS, or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of Front End or Web development experiment 
• Software engineering experience
• Excellent coding skills in javascript , HTML and CSS
• Knowledge of web development with Node.js and Express
• Thrives in a dynamic environment, using agile methodologies
• Is detail-oriented and has creative problem-solving skills
• Has excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to design and articulate technical designs.
