 Endotronix, a growing medical device company in Woodridge, IL, seeks an experienced software verification and validation engineer for its home monitoring platform including a patient-facing app and a clinician portal. The software V&V engineer will play a lead role in planning, executing, and documenting the software V&V effort through pre-clinical and clinical phases, as well as introduction of the product into the market.

This is a full time position at Endotronix’s Woodridge, IL, facility, with occasional travel. Endotronix offers a dynamic and exciting work environment, competitive salary, and benefits package.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, executing, and documenting software verification and validation planning activities in a team environment for a patient-facing app as well as a cloud-based clinician portal.
  • Working with software developers to automate testing
  • Software integration testing and systems testing
  • Software risk management including software hazards analysis
  • Supporting system level verification of the platform integration with additional components as needed
  • Helping to build the Endotronix software team, with opportunities to enter a management track
  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related engineering discipline
  • 7 years’ industry experience with software verification and validation in a structured team environment
  • Demonstrated success in multiple life cycle phases of software

DESIRED EXPERIENCE WITH:

  • Medical device software verification, validation, and risk management
  • Risk management methods and standards such as IEC 62304, or equivalent from other industries
  • Software V&V for mobile applications and web-based systems
  • Requirements definition, software configuration management, NPI, and structured design reviews
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products
  • Testing automation suites such as Selenium
