SQL Server Database Administrator

As a Database Administrator - SQL Server, you will provide physical database support for SQL Server databases, ensuring the integrity and availability of the database.
You are responsible for monitoring, analysis, and performance tuning at both the system and application levels.
As part of the Database Administration team, you will work with a team who is utilizing high availability solutions to support our sip phone platform hosting systems.
You will help to ensure that all solutions of application and business issues are secure, compliant, and adhere to the minimum security baselines set forth by Vail Systems.
You will be using your T-SQL skills to create a data-access layer capsules business logic for best performance.
You will participate in a 24/7 on-call support rotation.
Additional responsibilities of the Database Administrator - SQL Server include:
* Installing and configuring database software for production, test, and development environments.
* Designing, developing, implementing, and providing operation support of database security.
* Writing T-SQL stored procedures, triggers, and scripts to manage, maintain, and provide reporting on vital database activities.
* Developing and running SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Integration Services.
* Building and implementing database backup and recovery strategies.
