Sr. Director, Strategic Business Analytics
- Build the case for (or against) Action: Develop, implement and refine top-down approach to connect reimbursement potential, health system priorities, and health system budgets to high financial value opportunity areas for innovation. Deploy the approach across AVIA’s various innovation verticals to support an assessment of financial tradeoffs and opportunities by healthcare executives within AVIA’s Network. Present compelling financial impact stories from the data.
- Estimate & measure impact: Develop, implement and refine standard capital allocation modeling approaches that are implementable for early stage technologies.
- Pre-implementation, lead approach to estimating financial impact at member health systems.
- Post-implementation, lead approach to measuring and normalizing financial impact.
- Market research: Research market trends in healthcare, technology, health finance and policy, with a focus on healthcare economics/finance. Synthesize from many sources to identify implications of market intelligence for AVIA products.
- Company research: Assist teams researching innovative solutions companies, including product demos and management team conversations. In particular, assess segments within a solution space from a financial impact lens.
- Graduate degree
- 15+ years experience in outcomes measures, KPIs/metrics, business modeling, ROI analysis or strategic growth analysis
- Experience facilitating discussion with executive audiences, especially health system CFOs
- Experience working in consulting / professional services serving multiple clients simultaneously
- Experience working with technology and data analytics
- Critical thinking, strong judgment and ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with clients and colleagues
- Strong understanding of / familiarity with health system budgets
- Differentiate signal from noise; ability to synthesize information from disparate sources and identify the interrelationships and dependencies
- Comfort coupling qualitative and quantitative data and practical sense
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Strong communicator, in both speech and writing; able to tell a compelling, coherent story around the data
- Enthusiasm to join an entrepreneurial team and an environment that requires adaptability, comfort with ambiguity, intrinsic motivation, and “doing what it takes”
- Able to travel ~20% of the time
