Under the direction of the Senior Accountant and Assistant Controller, the Staff Accountant will be primarily responsible for the accounts payable cycle from inception to payment, keeping our cash activity current in the general ledger, and assisting with month end close functions.

Responsibilities

• Review, process, and record daily Accounts Payable invoices in a timely manner
• Review and record transactions for bank accounts
• Reconciliation of assigned general ledger and bank accounts
• Review employee expense reports and respond to employee inquiries when necessary
• Process purchase orders and enforce company-wide purchase policy
• Accurately charge expenses to accounts and departments by analyzing invoices/expense reports while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger
• Respond to vendor inquiries 
• Assist in customer collections
• Maintain files and account documentation
• Special projects as they arise

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required

 

Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize work per deadlines
• Familiarity with General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) 
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and generally nimble with technology
• Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
• Works efficiently under pressure and meets deadlines
• Exercises good judgment, respects colleagues, and works with integrity
• High level of accuracy requiredAbout Us
