The Strategy and Operations Analyst will be responsible for all aspects of data automation, analysis and reporting for Groupon’s sales operations to provide insight and drive measurable improvements in process and efficiency throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain key operational reporting and streamline ad-hoc reporting.
  • Partner with Business Intelligence and other key business divisions to ensure alignment of reporting and metrics.
  • Act as liaison between operations and sales by conducting weekly/monthly meetings with sales managers and leadership to identify opportunities for improvement in reporting/processes and to understand their data needs.
  • Assume the role of data and business expert on specified subject areas. Must be able to explain results and what factors drove those results in a report. Then must confidently make recommendations to senior management on how to initiate better performance.
  • Partner with Finance, HR, and Compensation to administer changes to compensation plan and target systems.
  • Continuously review and make recommendations for current incentive programs to ensure efficiency.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years in business operations or business intelligence
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Advanced/expert knowledge of Excel
  • Advanced/expert knowledge using SQL to build reporting/run analyses
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management, as well as the business and technical communities.
  • Demonstrated ability to be productive with minimal supervision.  Must be results oriented and able to move forward without complete information
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be comfortable with changing requirements and priorities. Must be able to proactively communicate status and identify risks
